Professor Ted Rappaport, WNCG's founder and the William and Bettye Nowlin Chaired professor in UT's Electrical and Computer engineering department, ran his second marathon race in February 2009, completing Austin's 26.2 mile course in 4 hours and 43 minutes. Several students along the way cheered him on while others ran portions of the course.
