Prof. Rappaport Presented with Joe J. King Professional Engineering Achievement Award

Prof. Rappaport

Professor Ted Rappaport has been awarded the 2010 Joe J. King Professional Engineering Achievement Award by the Cockrell School of Engineering. This college-wide award was created in 1976 to recognize significant contributions in furthering the engineering profession. The last ECE professor to receive this award was Ed Powers in 1985.

“Your vision and commitment to UT engineering has made the University and Austin a major center for wireless communications research and development,” said Cockrell School of Engineering Dean Greg Fenves.

Professor Rappaport was honored at a luncheon on May 21, 2010 and was recognized as part of the Cockrell School Graduation Ceremony that evening.
