THE UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS AT AUSTIN'S WIRELESS NETWORKING & COMMUNICATIONS GROUP ANNOUNCES SYMPOSIUM SCHEDULE

AUSTIN, TX, August 22, 2003 - The Wireless Networking & Communications Group (WNCG) in the Electrical & Computer Engineering Department at The University of Texas at Austin has released the program schedule for their upcoming Wireless Networking Symposium, October 22 -24, 2003 on the UT campus. Things are quickly coming together to form a very exciting event for the wireless field.

The symposium will feature cutting-edge technical and business insights from leading experts in wireless networking and communications from over 20 companies, 25 universities, and 6 countries. Plenary speakers from around the country will address a wide array of cutting-edge topics, and four panel discussions over the course of the symposium will feature leaders from business, industry, and academia in candid discussions of current top issues in the wireless field. There will also be ongoing poster presentation sessions enabling attendees to have one-on-one dialogue regarding the latest breakthroughs in research. Four parallel session tracks are planned for the WNCG Symposium. Approximately 75 papers have been accepted for publication, covering such topics as OFDM & ultra-wideband, network measurement & security, MIMO systems, network modeling & analysis, antenna design, and more.
