Facilities

WNCG currently houses several state-of-the-art labs and resources making it an ideal place for both basic research and evaluating of wireless networking and communications technologies in action. These currently include capabilities to instrument and measure network performance of the large modern multi-faceted U.T. campus network, a MIMO prototyping facility to implement new adaptive physical layer algorithms and network protocols, unique antenna systems and measurement hardware to study fundamental RF propagation characteristics from VHF to 60 GHz, a laboratory for sensor and ad hoc networking, tools for studying and evaluating advanced video communication systems.

WNCG is home to several labs:

  • Ad Hoc and Sensor Network Lab
  • Digital Time Series Lab
  • Embedded Signal Processing Lab
  • Laboratory for Image and Video Engineering
  • Network Engineering Laboratory
  • RF Systems and Propagation Lab
  • Simulation Lab
  • Software-defined MIMO Prototyping Laboratory
  • Wireless Networking Lab
  • Wireless Systems Innovation Lab
