Andrews Elected to IEEE Information Theory Society Board of Governors

Jeffrey Andrews was elected to the Board of Governors of the IEEE Information Theory Society. He was one of six new members worldwide elected this year, and will serve a three year term from 2013-2015. This distinguished position will lead to future assignments throughout his governorship. Andrews is a long-standing member of IEEE. He was also awarded the 2010 IEEE Communications Society Best Tutorial Paper Award, and most recently the 2011 Communications Society Heinrich Hertz Prize. His research focuses in multi-user wireless communications and ad hoc networks. Dr. Jeffrey Andrews is a professor with the Wireless Networking and Communications Group. His research focuses on communication theory, information theory, and stochastic geometry applied to wireless cellular and ad hoc networks.
