Heath Named IEEE Signal Processing Society Distinguished Lecturer

Robert W. Heath, Jr. was recently named an IEEE Signal Processing Society Distinguished Lecturer from January 1, 2013 to December 31, 2014. Only five individuals are conferred with this honor each year. According to the IEEE Signal Processing Society, 'the list of nominees and alternates shall comprise individuals of distinction who are members of the IEEE and of the IEEE Signal Processing Society, who are recognized experts in their fields of endeavor, and who are capable of delivering a message of importance to the technical community as well as to the Societys members organized in chapters around the world.' Dr. Robert W. Heath Jr. is director of the Wireless Networking and Communications Group and director of the Wireless Systems Innovations Lab. His research focuses on MIMO communication, multi-user MIMO, OFDM, signal processing, smart antennas, DSP and multiple-input.
