Jacob Winick is a M.S. / Ph.D student at the University of Texas at Austin, jointly supervised by Prof. Jeff Andrews and Prof. Sriram Vishwanath. He received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan in 2016. Jacob’s research interest is primarily in the application of machine learning to wireless communications. He has previously interned at Intel (2019), Astranis (2017), Apple (2015), Microsoft (2014), and MIT Lincoln Laboratory (2013) in various different EE disciplines. In his free time, Jacob is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys skiing, cycling, and climbing.
