Dr. Ambuj Tewari obtained his MA in Statistics and PhD in Computer Science from UC Berkeley in 2005 and 2007 respectively. He was a Research Assistant Professor at Toyota Technological Institute at Chicago (TTIC) from 2008 to 2010. He recently joined UT Austin where he's working as a post-doctoral fellow with Professors Inderjit Dhillon and Pradeep Ravikumar. His research revolves around issues in decision making in probabilistic or adversarial environments. This includes problems like classification, regression, matrix learning, ranking, bandit problems, and reinforcement learning.
