Sewoong Oh

Prof. Sewoong Oh is an Assistant Professor in the Industrial and Enterprise Systems Engineering Department at the University of Illinois-Urbana Champaign (UIUC). He received a BS in Electrical Engineering from Seoul National University, and his MS and PhD in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University. Prior to joining the faculty of UIUC, he was a postdoctoral researcher at the Laboratory for Information and Decision Systems at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Prof. Sewoong's research interests include understanding how to extract meaningful information from societal data using techniques from statistical inference and machine learning.
