Monica Ribero

Mónica Ribero  joined the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin as a Ph.D. student in 2017. She received her BS in Mathematics in 2015 from Universidad de Los Andes, Bogotá, Colombia. She participated in Research in Industrial Problems for Students at UCLA, sponsored by Google LA, where she worked on collaborative filtering methods to improve recommender systems. She is now interested in information science problems arising in the intersection of optimization and statistics, particularly, applying machine learning techniques to Wireless Networks problems.
