WNCG Alumnus Dr. David Love Promoted to Full Professor

On April 5, 2013, WNCG alumnus Dr. David Love was promoted to full Professor at Purdue University. Love was Robert Heaths first Ph.D. graduate, and his dissertation is titled Feedback Methods for Multiple-Input Multiple-Output Wireless Systems.Love started at Purdue in 2004 after graduating from The University of Texas at Austin. His research focuses on various aspects of Wireless Communications, including MIMO. In addition to his research leadership, he has been recognized as an exemplary teacher at Purdue, where heteaches communications and signal processing. In Fall 2010, Love received the Purdue HKN Outstanding Teacher Award, which, according to the Purdue website, is presented per semester to the ECE professor that exemplifies what students look for in a teacher. He was also an invited participant in the 2011 U.S. National Academy of Engineering Frontiers of Engineering Education Symposium. Love currently has 10 Ph.D. graduates and three M.S. graduates of his own. Dr. David Love received his Ph.D. (2004), M.S.E. (2002) and B.S.E.E. (2000) from The University of Texas at Austin. His Ph.D. and M.S.E. were under the supervision of WNCG director Dr. Robert Heath. After graduation, he started at Purdue University as an assistant professor.
