Philip Tan Awarded NSF Graduate Research Fellowship

WNCG student Philip Tan has been selected as a Fellow of the National Science Foundation’s 2021 Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP). GRFP recognizes outstanding graduate students in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) or in STEM education. The program supports these students in pursuing full-time research-based degrees through a five-year fellowship. A full list of this year's recipients can be found on the GRFP website.

Four Texas ECE students have been awarded Graduate Research Fellowships from the National Science Foundation (NSF). The NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP) recognizes and supports outstanding graduate students in NSF-supported science, technology, engineering, and mathematics disciplines.

Prof. Andrea Alù Receives Kavli Foundation Lectureship

Prof. Andrea Alù has been named the 2016 recipient of the Kavli Foundation Early Career Lectureship in Materials Science. The award is given to early career researchers who are within 10 years of having received a Ph.D, and have "already made a significant contribution to materials research and clearly have a promising future." This is the fourth time the award is given. Past recipients were affiliated with Stanford, Caltech and the Harvard MIT Division of Health Sciences and Technology.
