WNCG faculty member Todd Humphreys has received a Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers (PECASE). Humphreys was one of five faculty members from The University of Texas at Austin to receive the award for 2019.

The PECASE is the “highest honor bestowed by the United States Government to outstanding scientists and engineers who are beginning their independent research careers and who show exceptional promise for leadership in science and technology.”

The award is coordinated by the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy along with a number of federal departments and agencies.

Humphreys is an associate professor in the Department of Aerospace Engineering and Engineering Mechanics. He also directs the UT Austin Radionavigation Laboratory, a WNCG-affiliated multi-disciplinary research group which develops theory and technologies for secure, robust, and precise perception.
