Papailiopoulos has received a 2015 Signal Processing Society Young Author Best Paper Award for a paper co-authored with Texas ECE Associate Professor Alex Dimakis entitled "Interference Alignment as a Rank Constrained Rank Minimization." The award was presented at the Society’s awards ceremony at the IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech and Signal Processing (ICASSP) in Shanghai, China.
